OUR STORY

Bungalow House Studio was founded by Emma Maxwell in 2022 following a call from the Lord to leave security and follow a conviction. After taking a leap of faith and leaving her dream job as an Architectural Designer, she began painting, designing, and selling watercolor greeting cards and art prints out of her and her husband, Christian's, small bungalow house.

Soon after Bungalow was launched, longtime friend and freshman college roommate, Kali Grostefon, took a leap of faith herself and partnered on. Kali brought a perfect balance to make the business successful and acts as our Director of Operations. The team now operates Bungalow House Studio out of Persimmon Avenue, a boutique in Indianapolis.

OUR MISSION

BEAUTY. INTEGRITY. EXCELLENCE.

At Bungalow House Studio, our mission is to encourage and inspire others, to celebrate the simple joys in life, and to foster a strong sense of community by turning art into tangible acts of kindness.

    DESIGN

Preliminary designs are sketched. Then, design elements are added layer by layer. Each layer dries before more coats are added to create dimension and saturation in the final design.

    EDITING & PRINTING

Once the design is finished, it is scanned and edited with software to perform touch-ups and ensure proper color balance. Test prints are created and digital or physical touch-ups are made as necessary.

    SIGNATURE

Final designs are sealed with the artist's signature to signify the approval of the final product and prepared to be shipped to you.
